Better have a baseball bat for the ride in.

I've never gigged fish, only frogs. I have seen salmon pitch forked when I was a kid on the Trask river.
I used to bowfish carp. I think that would be easier than traveling at speed and gigging the fish. Thay make it look easy.

We'll flounder gig for fun a couple times a year. Its a good excuse to stay out all night and drink a couple beers. Its really easy, so I don't feel it being all that sporty. Couple times a year its fun, the guys that go out everynight and load the boat is a little annoying.

We use them for crab bait or let the Romanians have them. They eat anything from the water, or so it seems.

When I was little we used to go and grab kings and browns with our hands. Had to wait until the kings were just about to die though, otherwise they were too fast. Lots of fun picking on the old and weak.
