I can't recall the last time I had to sign for anything. Probably the resin I got delivered two years ago.

Not true on the sig. Last time I got something from Fed Ex the SOB threw my call down in the driveway and left a sticky note on the garage door saying that nobody was home. USPS has been my choice delivery service since.

But here's the monkey wrench- about 15 minutes ago, status changed to reflect that the pack was transferred TO the USPS from the FedEx facility, so it was waiting there for them to pick up. Apparently, FedEx is now doing this "last mile" crap with USPS as well. I knew UPS was doing it, but didn't know FedEx was part of the program. I still don't like USPS. No idea how they finagled those deals. If I'm shipping something FedEx or UPS, they better damn well be door-to-door FedEx or UPS. Putting it in the hands of those incompetents irritates me.

I hate that shit with a fucking passion! Bullshit handout is what it is. If the USPS was a private business, it would be bankrupt by now. If my shop starts going under my competitors don't let me help them install jobs they sold to keep me afloat.
When I ordered my new choke tubes (after the friendly Canadian TSA agents threw mine away) the guy at midway usa quoted me lowest price shipping, I asked if it was that hand-off bullshit and opted to pay extra so the USPS didn't get any money.

I guess I'd have to tip my hat to the USPS. My bow is sitting in the UPS storage place in town. However they don't do Saturday delivery so I won't get it until Monday even though it's less than a few miles from me now.

I just called them and no one answered. I'm sure if someone was there they'd let me get it.

I agree. But it's hard to do, on the off chance that something does happen. While a package may apparently get there quicker, if it "disappears", you're screwed with USPS. At least with the others, you're guaranteed to get something.

Pack just showed up today, via USPS with a FedEx label. Not declaring a winner on this one, it's a push.

I would like to point out that the USPS tried to stop delivering on Sat (should have decided that 5 years ago) but congress wont let them.

I agree with you on handouts, the gubments gave AIG insurance billions of our tax dollars and said screw you insurance agents. Yeah right

You're opinion is skewed being on the government payroll.
Would the lack of Saturday deliveries swing the USPS from the red to the black?
