Stupid waste of time. If shoppers didn't buy steak before why the hell would a new name make them buy it now? Stupid

So because people are mind-numbingly stupid, we must cater to them. Brilliant.

It's about time! Ten different butchers in town call a half dozen steaks 29 different names, I've been trying to teach my wife one form the other for 18 years...

Brotha, I knows this, but I work late a lot and even though I say I'll take care if it she wants to help out and or prove she's a big girl and can handle it, ten I get a phone call "what is the one we like to have on the grill with the other stuff". "Is it supposed to have a lot of fat around it or in the middle or not at all"
I swear, there are very few things my wife does that irritates me, but this is one of them.

We're pretty much exclusively deer. I like beef, but I'm cheap. I can get 40 pounds of steaks for a 90 cent bullet or I can buy one steak for $14. No brainer.

I love me some beef I can pick up some local free range at this old school butcher in town. I'm going to miss that place.

Local butcher is badass, on a rare occasion I will buy a steak. Like Jim, I almost exclusively eat what I kill, speed goat, ducks and geese fill the freezer fast.

Beef. Its whats for dinner.

Dont mind some duck or venison here or there. But the best food either goes moo or oink. Or bleets. My neighbor was over today. He is raising some sheep and told me I could have some mutton. That is about as good as it gets.

Another neighbor has a small herd of bison. I wish his land was adjacent to mine. My annual waterfowl party would really kick ass. I would have the Doc come over and harvest me a brown humpback cow. I guess it would be hard to cover up a missing buff.

And then show him a note you wrote left-handed, and claim it is form the buffalo. Make it read "I'm leaving because that farmer won't leave my butthole alone". And then look at him questioningly with raised eyebrow. He'll think you're so damn insane that he'll leave and forget all about the buffalo that's in your freezer.

buffalo is overrated in my opinion. tastes just like beef, but endangered. bastards at Ted's grill served me one with the fucking arrow still in it, cocksuckers.

the absolute best meat i've ever had was bighorn, without a doubt. a close second was antelope that had been dead for a total of 35 minutes. the guy quartered it in duck camp using a chainsaw and threw the slabs on the fire, it was E.P.I.C.

funny story about the lope. the antelope was 80 yards from the camp, guy saw it and got his bow and just lobbed the arrow at it. hit the damn thing and sent his dog to find it. 3 of us just grabbed it up and hauled it over and strung it up next to the fire. he filled all three of his lope tags on that duck hunt.

I want to hunt antelope, but I don't want to go out west just to hunt antelope. I would have to work it into a muley or elk hunt.

I rarely ever eat beef steak, either. Enough deer to go around. The couple times I order a steak at a restaurant, I'm always dissapointed. The only way to get a good one is to go to a place that does only steak and pay too much money. When I pay that much money, I'm looking for any excuse to feel like I'm not getting my money's worth. And I always find one.

Go with a dry aged wagyu beef steak, I haven't been able to find anything wrong with them.

very easy to do. the damn things really are like the farmer's dog that never gets tied up and runs up and down the street chasing cars. drive a little closer to the white line when you're out west and i guarantee you can fill a tag within 20 miles or so.
