I think if you added up what I paid for all the furniture in my house, including mattresses, I'd be under $600. I'm dead serious.

Before I was married I was at a solid $0. The entire year and a half I lived in AZ, I had a $25 recliner from Salvation Army, a cooler for a table (which I brought with me), and an air mattress (which I also brought with me). I did buy Layniebug a coffee table for her to play on, but that was only $5 at a yard sale. Vacuum was free from the dumpster, TV was free from the dumpster, silverware, 2 plates, and 2 bowls were "borrowed" from Golden Corral. I was living like a damn king.

I bought a stand for my TV, was $39 not $59. Everything else was given.

I'd hunt that one. Call up John Koepp at Addiction calls, he makes an all brass or all aluminum call for $200. Really want to try one but don't have the money yet.

Holy shit, first time I saw this today. If my future wife ever spent that much money without me at least knowing about it I'd go balistic.

doesnt really count as purchase, but just closed on my refinance yesterday. Took a 30 yr RD loan down to a 15yr conventional. About $90 more per month, but took what would be $65k in interest down to $13k. My old rate was 5 1/8 and was gonna knock it down to 3 1/8, but the morning of the paperwork it dropped to 3% that day so I got an even better deal. My old bank called after it was done and asked what was going on, so i gave them a piece of my mind. After 30 years of loyalty, multiple accounts, 3 small loans, and a mortgage(all with extra payments, payed off on time, and never a missed payment), they still wouldnt let me do a $7500 truck loan with 10% or 15% down, had to have 20%. I took my loan search elsewhere, and now my mortgage too.
