I'm pretty sure a teal could evade a fighter jet. Which reminds me of last year, my buddy told me to stay still and I hear what litterally sounds like a fighter jet fly over. It was a flock of teal with wings set dropping down from behind us headed up the lake to our left. I never saw them (didn't move), but that was one cool sound to hear.

Woodies make the jet sound too. My favorite part is when you hear the backfire and they fall to the water:lol:

Yea, but they are typically in open water and will just plop down in your spread. Usually it's before you knew they were even there, but still.

Had one bout take my head off on a lake once. Sittin on the edge in the cat tails, and out of nowhere "whooosh" about a foot above me, straight out and kept on going across the lake. Bout made me fall over in the boat.

Bringing this old thread back because I found a hunting show worse than this one. It's called Arrow Affliction and it's painful to watch.

Also different note but when you search "Flyway Highway" on Google this thread is the 5th or 6th result. You know the host of that show has seen this thread

Arrow affliction is hilarious. That guy thinks he is the biggest badass on TV. I can't watch that show without laughing the whole time.

I thought the arrow affliction guy got busted for poaching snaping turtles or something like that and the show went under.

I watched Flyway Highway a lot. I didn't really enjoy it that much but it was what it was...
Last year I visited my friends at Bayou Bottoms. They were cooking ducks on a Bradley smoker. I was like "meh, whatever".
I got to sample the goods and it was fantastic. Had me wishing I could afford to buy one. I wouldn't put them down until you ate some food off of one.

Not running out to buy one obviously. I'm poor but not poor enuff for Nascar...yet.

The ol charcoal smoker makes some damn fine jerky and smoked fish for just about free. Just smoked a goose and some venison yesterday.

Arrow Affliction makes me think of what a bow hunter would look like if he shopped at hot topic and sang 70's soft rock.

Can't say I've watched it, but I knew it was gay because of its name. Most all deer hunting on tv is gayer than a bag of dicks.

Funny.

I agree, deer hunting on TV is the antithesis if deer hunting, end result is a fag fest show.

I don't watch it for the deer hunting. I watch if for when he does the other stuff like quail hunting with a bow or dove hunting with a bow.

Aren't those the guys that did a show on hunting geese with flu-flu arrows? Showed a whole lot of missing but no kills.
