I need some honest advice on serious decision.

Postby rebelp74 » Wed Apr 17, 2013 3:46 pm

I currently have a house in the country, 20 acres and lot of animals. It takes a toll on my wife trying to keep up while I'm gone for 90 days. So much to the point that she wants to move in town. I absolutely do not. I could get a job working something like 3 weeks on 3 weeks off or something of the sort and still live in the country but make considerably less money. In this situation what would y'all do?

How many animals? Could always downsize that aspect for her.

I do alright, but I don't make that much money. My younger brother helps out a lot but will be working for me in another year.

Even cutting down on the critters won't be that much difference, with the land up keep aspect. That is the biggest problem for her.

if your not there ditch the animals or hire someone, I'm guessing you could find someone to do chores while you are away for less then the cost of a bedroom set. does your wife work?

Seriously, consider hiring someone to come out and help. Even if it costs what the difference in your salary would be, it's a wash, and you still get your place in the country, and she gets an easier time of it when you're gone. I would bet that you could easily find an old retired guy ho would be more than happy for something like this to do.

No she doesn't work. Thwe land is what gets to her. She says she feels overwhelmed sometimes. If I hired someone it'd probably be about the same as if I took the paycut for a gulf job.

Are you sure she dont just want to move into town?

Have you considered an E collar to motivate her?

Trust me, I have pushed that issue. She does pretty good honestly. Gets on the tractor, tends to the animals, runs the garden, etc.

Dont have any advice. But, out of curiosity what do you do for work that gets three weeks on three off? That sounds great.

How far is it into town Reb? Perhaps you could subdivide, sell off ten acres and get a little place in town while keeping your place in the country.

My neighbor said his second wife was a pole dancer and she made more in 2 nights then he did in 2 weeks.

Get her skinny ass in a thong hanging upside down for fun and profit.

Problem solved.

I have considered this. She wants to be closer to stores, she just started driving a car about 5 months ago and it'd make it easier on her going into town for things. Probably safer too.

Said before she's not a 10 more like a good 8 but marriage material. Not many hot women make real marriage material.

I put some leads out to see how the jobs in the Gulf would be and got some hits right away. Making good money just not as good as deep sea.

Cut down your animals and lease part of it for pasture land.

Not really leasable. I have enough pasture for about 10 cattle the rest is hardwood bottoms, fruit and pecan trees.
