Would rather mess with ticks then be swarmed by skeeters anyday.

I've got a sixth sense for ticks and know immediately when they make skin contact. It takes a tick a long time relative to a skeeter to bite. Jumping spiders, those little black and white guys are worse than ticks.

I'll take ticks over skeeters.

I don't get many ticks. I swear it has soemthing to do with blood type, or more likely how much CO2 you emit through your skin. Some people get swarmed, I hardly ever find any.

It would interesting to do a study on.

Mosquitos on the other hand, thrive on me.

Can't stand either one, but ticks are the worst. At least with mosquito, you don't have to worry about him crawling up your leg under clothes and attaching to your nut sack. Fucking hate ticks.

Haven't seen any mosquitoes this year, have had a few ticks this year. Both suck.

I'd take 1 tick over 1000 mosquitos. But I walked through a little grassy spot that must have just had a fresh hatch of ticks. I looked down and had about 50 ticks on me. Gave me the hibigeebies.

No thanks, I'd take 1000 skeeters to 1 tick. If its one think I can't stand it's ticks! I hate them like Jehler hates spiders!
At least skeeters you can use repellents and such, ticks are like honey badgers!

Ticks , depending where you are might cause Lyme. Skeeters on the other hand, can infect you with West Nile virus no matter where you are. West Nile is still killing people all over the US.
My sister got West Nile in 2006 and it almost killed her. Actually, her heart stopped for a short period on 4 separate occasions. She spent 2 weeks on full life support in ICU. Totally, she was hospitalized for 2 months. She had to learn how to walk again and she still has issues related to it. It left her in a condition similar to a stroke victim. She has terrible balance and fell and busted here ankle 2 years ago and had to have pins etc in it to hold it together. Last year she fell and shattered bones in her leg and now she has a band/plate and screws on that leg too.
Yep, I think I'll take the chance on ticks first.

Its an annual cycle of memorizing where every mole on your body is and just doing a quick search. The hairs on my legs are like venus fly trap whiskers for ticks. After living on Long Island you get super use to them.

Guys, we all know NY has the worst mosquito and tick problem. Super unpredictable.

I agree. I'm very rarely bothered by Mosquitos. They just don't really land on me. But ticks act like I'm at a pit bull convention with babies tied all over me.

Yep we get these giant spiders in the rice fields and I have been known to cut them down with the 870 when I feel threatened by them.
