“If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen.” ― Samuel Adams

Married 20 years
time goes by ever so quick
Yesterday on honeymoon

No baby, no debts
work hard save much money
stock market is good

Momma, daddy and
big brown dog named brandy
there's no place like home

Many sun sets passed
time is a predator stalking us all
eternal rest next to my wife

In heaven with Brandy dog
and wife, family, all who are gone
Including my black and white cat.

You should move on to sonnets. May slow this thread down a tad.

I'm going to post some picks in the UDS thread. I built a small "smokestack" out of an old tailpipe I had laying around. I think it's going to look pretty sharp. Still waiting on my thermometer.

I think an epic may be in order. Then, finally, someone, ANYONE can use the word epic properly.

Your night last night was NOT an incredibly long poem about a legend kids!

I think this is where something clever about tapatalk should go.

holy crap! I dont know if I am up for that....if I could write one on here a week at a time with a locked thread I might consider it....

Epic: a long narrative poem in elevated style presenting characters of high position in adventures forming an organic whole through their relation to a central heroic figure and through their development of episodes important to the history of a nation or race. (Harmon and Holman)

I would have to be able to cuss, be crude, and say any damn thing I wanted. Interesting idea....lots of characters on this site to draw from.

HHhmmmmmmm......

Just save it as a draft until it is done.

Daddy love his girl

Jim, I have to ask you that you not use racial slurs on my haiku thread.

I celebrate diversity in all its forms, and embrace the differences between us that actually makes us more alike than different.

There is a 50/50 chance you will honor my request.

I just placed up a rainbow banner next to my recliner in the office to signify that there is a sense of security and inclusion to all when they are in my space. Sorry for the transgression.
