Why dont we shoot that new phone of yours and get you back into a Samsung?

Samsung is being delivered today, you can shoot my phone for $100, otherwise it will be relegated to backup.

Alright another question for you. In this boat I have there is a live well. Should I turn it into a cooler, keep it a live well/cooler, or just remove it and turn to storage? It is insulated and designed to be a cooler and live well. Could possible save me room from needing to bring a cooler. By the way I am problably going to stick with the 30 hp Johnson.

Get rid of it. If you need a cooler, you can bring one, and move it around as you need to. Plus, cleaning out that live well if you use it as a cooler will get to be a pain in the ass.

Naw, I will wait till you lose the new Samsung (with in 60 days) and then you will get to hating on your back up. Then we can put it out of its misery.

Yup. Unless you need the livewell, strip that bitch to the bare hull and thank me later.

One of the things you should not underestimate in a boat is space. Its a real bitch to be waist deep in decoy bags, gear, and a dog and try to drive the boat in the dark.

Open floor plan: GOOD

Tripping around over a bunch of crap in the dark: NOT GOOD

in the paint scheme, there is two colors, dull dead grass and of green, I sprayed a base of of green and then mixed of green and dull dead grass. I then mixed each color and the mix with rustoleum flat black and flat white to make the different shades and layered to give it that effect. Those colors work well here. The same thing can be done with any color. I like the big patterns better than small as the small seems to stick out more at a distance

i wasn't sure about them so I built a set out of wood first to see what they were all about, those lasted a few years and then I had some made, I'll never have a boat without pods again

How did the wood ones work? Did you glass them? With the 40hp on my 16' it sits low. It's not terrible for duck season, but once I put a 80lb generator, 4 40lb batteries a 40lb ballast box and 500+ lbs of fish in the back end I'm sitting about 5" from the gunnels...Pretty sketchy when your in the great lakes.

They worked awesome, They would have lasted longer but I had used old interior wood from kitchen cabinets we were demoing and the glue was water soluble. I used a locking miter router bit to assemble the boxes which gave it real good strength, 6 ounce cloth and epoxy (two layers on bottom) with another layer of 4 ounce tape over the corners. It lasted about 3 years before it started to delaminate and I had the aluminum ones made.

water weighs 63ish pounds per cubic foot, so by adding those two pods to the back I added another 200+ pounds of flotation to the aft of the transom. This means that I can safely have 200 more pounds in the back of the boat without fear of swamping. It also gets me a but lower draft while static and prevents the bow from rising when during the hole shot, especially when taking off into the wind. Decreases waves coming over the transom when backing up into long lines too. The only real downside is the decrease in op need performance, I'm thinking I lost about 4mph
