I don't care how allergic to shellfish I am, I'm thinking that the distinct possibly of bleeding to death from a chest wound would outweigh any possibility of anaphylactic shock, or having my face swell up a little.

Seen'm die from severe blood loss and the shock, it was a gamble worth taking under fire. Eppy (sp) pens helped when they had them.

That's what I'm thinking. If I was ever in that situation, roll the dice and stop the bleeding, regardless of what a little red dog tag may say (or however they do it now).

Yep, the new stuff is the tits. Buddy was shot in the arm and we had a long ways to go before we could get help. Poured the packet into the wound and got him home safely.

Helps clot the wound, it can offer a couple extra minutes needed to save a guys/girls life.
