Every few years, it gets shuffled up, people constantly coming and people leaving, so not many really know the area very well, but they are all self-important pricks either working for government or working off of government money, while they can get it, before leaving and going back to wherever they started from. You won't have to spend a dime other than gas if you're looking to go crabbing and clamming. Maybe a little jingle for some chicken necks and a roll of twine, but that's about it.

a little jingle, I'll have a bunch of drumsticks rolling around in the back of my truck in the hot sun sizzlin for a week before i get there. I didnt do bad on LI sounds encouraging thanks guys.

No, croaker are everywhere when they start running. They'll be in anything from 4 feet to 20 feet. I've caught them from the surf, my little hybrid out next to a 20ft deep channel, in the flats in 3 feet of water, from a pier, from a bridge. Anywhere. Your boat will be just fine for croaker.

Here's another one. Video is shitty, but it shows pretty good what a day of croaker fishing is, and how it ends up. Ignore them with their comments of "monster croaker". While they were catching decent ones, it's not even a little out of the ordinary to fill the coolers with 12-16 inch croakers. I've caught many upwards of 17", too. It's a blast fishing these things. And they are deeee-licious.
