That makes sense.

That makes sense.
The line where the transmission fluid goes in at gave out on my cousins 08 chevy about a month ago. The guy that fixed it said it's a fairly common problem.

I check underneath to determine the culprit and its leaking from behind the front skid plate cover. I didn't have time to take the cover off to see what the problem was. Ill have to do that tomorrow. Im asking the brain trust here to inform me of what could a leak from the front of the engine be? Its a 2008 Silverado with 74,900 miles on it.

I had entertained the thought of replacing the whole line until I seen where it disconnects on the transmission. I think I'll just get a pipe cutter and replace the rubber section with some hose clamps and call it a day. If anyone has any objections to what I'm about to do, please speak up.

Should be fine, I know mine attach to the radiator with hose clamps.
