Slugs and Elk...

Postby R. Chapman » Thu Jan 02, 2014 1:41 am

I know, I know, who the hell hunt elk with a shotgun? None other than my bud, Chase. I guess the fucker likes loosening his teeth up. Simple story, last year we took off into the timber, taking our time and such. Since I had already filled my tag, I agreed to take Chase to try and get him an elk. We peaked over the ridge and there sat a lone, young cow. Maye 75 yards. The only funny part to this whole deal was the gutting of the elk. The way the cow fell, her legs were underneath her body, making it difficult to roll her over. We spent a good 20 minutes doing that task, and by that time the sucker had bloated up extremely bad. This being Chase's first elk, he wanted to gut it. The kid poked his blade in right as he inhaled. To make it short, he puked his guts out, an kept gagging while I finished up the gutting. At least he can hold the legs wide.

Is that Ted and Bonnie's boy?

I didn't know slugs would kill an elk! Learn something new everyday. They do a number on my wife's flowers but an elk! Wow! I better keep a better eye on the kids when the play outside in case one attacks. Will snails do the same thing?

The elk could have lived if he just had some salt with him.

I don't have time to sit on here and read the threads that are currently being posted in. And you have time to look through threads that are weeks, months, and years old.

This is a pretty quiet forum to begin with here in this section.

When you two ladies actually get together and kill something (not each other)...that would be a story worthy of this forum. :)
I've heard that it's incredibly stupid to fuck around with a crazy man's head.
