That will be the ultimate test of your homeschooling/parents: How you behave in college. One hit of something and its all over or just starts in three hours.

Had a friend get cancer at 25. He had a port to his heart that was just removed a few years ago, 8 years later.

Yup it's the same thing. I was diagnosed with leukemia in July of 2010. Still on treatment which is what they always do. I'm done in November of next year. What I'm on now is really easy stuff that doesn't make me feel bad anymore.
8 years!!! Damn that's a long time.

They may leave it in for quite sometime after treatments cease, just to be on the safe side. That was his case anyways. He also had leukemia

In the children's cancer world they take it out as soon as they can. Some kids even get it taken out early and just get IVs when they have to get chemo.

Yes a base knowledge is good to have but not 3rd, 4th year of doing it. That's when it is overboard.

No kidding OBX? Is that why your parents decided to do home schooling so that you werent subjected to the petry dish that is a public school since your imune system would have been compromised with the chemo?

Yup not kidding. No. I've been homeschooled since 1st grade. It did help being homeschooled so I could take half a year off when I was really sick.
