I think I'm leaning towards ruger or S&W

Pronounced sky, they were originally Skyy, but got sued by the vodka company. Pretty good little gun actually, lot of good reviews on it. I should actually be getting one here pretty soon, so I'll be able to test it out myself. You can't go wrong with Ruger, although I'd prefer the LC9 over the LCP, not too much bigger, but big enough you can actually handle it. The other one, although it probably won't be available for a while, would be the Springfield XDs in 9mm. Just got debuted at SHOT Show 3 weeks ago, but that would probably be the one I would pick if I had anything available to me right now.

assateague wrote:Ok, you know I'm cheap, so take this with a grain of salt. I have an IO Hellcat, which is basically a Ruger LCP knockoff, in .380. Pretty much identical to the Ruger, except mine was $200, not $319. I've put about 250-300 rounds through it and had one fail to eject. One. It's fairly accurate for what it is, as well. And I carry mine everywhere. Mind you, this is a "no carry" state for all intents and purposes, so it needs to stay hidden pretty darn well. I love it so far.

not necessarily but the lightweight revolvers are too pricey. If I had that much dough to throw around d I'd be buying myself a new shotgun

Not if you stick to the .38 Spcl only. Should easily be able to find a S&W 442 (Black) or 642 (Silver) for under $500, probably even closer to $400 if you shop around. Still get the lightweight Scandium frame, just don't get to shoot .357's out of it. Are you wanting hammerless or is that an issue?

it's going in my shorts pocket, sweats pocket, or back pocket of my wranglers, I don't need a pinch bigger, I need a pinch smaller

In the fanny pack, right?
I also forgot to tell you the s&w is double action every shot, which I like for carry.
