A bar clam is a big brown clam that we catch in 4-5 feet in pure saltwater, not found in bays or estuaries. The minimum size we are allowed to keep is 4 inches and I've seen them the size of dinner plates.

We alsp have quahogs and softshells, but bar clams taste the best. What kinds do you have?

When we go out, we usually get cherry stones, little necks, and quahogs. Pretty good mix of them all. Our minimum is 1" thick, measured at the hinge.
