My wife and I were almost moving to Texas. Her boss found a better job and tried to get us to come and work for him at this top-secret ranch where they do drug rehab for wealthy people who pay with cash. Cash ONLY!!!
Guess that keeps the riff-raff out.
Sounded like a fantastic opportunity.
THEN I TALKED TO SEAN.
Sean is from Arkansas and recently moved to Katy, Texas. Said he can't get out of Texas fast enough because of how well they treat "outsiders" there. (sarcasm font required here)

We're both from Illinois and decided there is no love in Texas for either one of us so we CHUNKED that idea.

I'm not sure but I think I just heard an entire state sigh a moan of relief.

Why? Because the state was once RED and a good place to live and work but now it's BLUE and isn't. Corruption in our state govt. is rampant and I guess it always has been. They just didn't get caught as often in the past. The taxes are sky-high and so are the land-prices etc.

AT would crap his pants if he walked into a grocery store here.

Really felt safer camping out 3 miles from the nearest electricity than I do in my own home. At least I could carry a loaded pistol and defend myself.
